Abstract:
The Southern Great Plains playa wildlife study region is divided to cover five states where playa lakes and wetlands are common features in their landscapes. Playas are critically important to resident wildlife in this dry farmland region where any moist or aquatic habitat is extremely scarce. This study is aimed to portray current knowledge as a basis for new effects at habitat preservation and management of playas for multiple use including wildlife management.
