There is presently no publication dealing exclusively with all the vertebrates of Florida and the means of identifying them. There seems to be no comprehensive treatment (key) for the mammals of Florida. The present work has been prepared in the belief that a need exists for a single source by which the identity of any specimen of Florida vertebrate may be established.
